It is going on 19 years in May of 2025 that TheBarMaker has been designing and building custom bars for your home or business. If you ask us, it’s the experience. I always mention that one of the most common remarks that clients will make at the end of the project is, “I knew it was going to be nice, but not this nice. I feel like I’m at an actual bar.” Afterall, that is our goal anyways. It is nearly impossible to articulate the excitement we get from watching the project fall into place. A lot of that has to do with us knowing how you will react when we deliver the project.

Dan has a remarkable ability to turn a vague vision into a perfect design and that design into a well-executed finished product. We bounced around a few ideas and, after settling on a general design/vibe, he ran with the idea and created a bar that is a stunning work of art. His selection of complementary tiles, wood finishes, and design elements round out the project in a way I know wouldn’t be possible with any main stream general contractors or companies. It is truly a privilege to be able to go to work and love what I do. There are days that feel like work but those days are worth it every time. The people I get to meet and given the opportunity of designing and building custom bars for is the reason I’m always trying to get better. I recently heard the quote “perfection is the enemy of good.” It took me a minute to wrap my hands around that. I came to a realization that while I was trying to be perfect I was neglecting the journey of being really good. Since then, I have taken on a completely enlightened perspective and my eyes have opened to a completely new way of doing things.
