Tashmoo Distilling Co.

I would confidently say that one of the best parts of what I do, is experiencing the passionate ideas my clients have and working together to carve them into reality. I have been witness to this over and over and it inspires me to do my best every time…
Chris Ross had a crystal clear vision about what, where, when, & how he was going to establish his very own distilling company & craft cocktail lounge. There wasn’t one single detail that was unknown. Keep in mind, you don’t just “open” a distillery. Without getting deep into the challenges, let’s just say it requires an abundance of perseverance and tenacity.
In 2022, the vision came to fruition for Chris, his wife Ellen, along with friend & business partner, Tom Maliskey. The establishment is placed within the center of New Baltimore, Michigan which is a charming town that is located on Lake St. Clair, just north of Detroit.
“We take pride in creating unique and flavorful cocktails that highlight the depth and complexity of our spirits. We are dedicated to delivering the best possible distillery experience for all of our guests.”

Needless to say, we were excited and honored to assist in helping them reach the finish line. There was no doubt that the craft cocktails, spirits they distill, and artistic skill of their staff was going to be a hit. Creating a custom bar that would align perfectly with their brand and also within the space was going to have to be spot on. Chris & Ellen worked closely with me on the design and I am proud of the finished product. I enjoy following them on https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090020867603 and seeing photos of people experiencing their unique cocktails sitting in a perfect space at a custom bar that I am privileged to have built.
Best Cocktails in New Baltimore
Anything I write about in this blog post couldn’t ever do this establishment & community any justice. My suggestion is, go visit them. It’s only a few hours drive from Cleveland. Plan a stay in the area and enjoy the lake views, shops, restaurants, and stop in the Tashmoo. I would say to tell them TheBarMaker sent you but if it isn’t one of the owners, they will probably blankly stare at you…of course you can try. The town is best experienced on foot so arrange your accommodations close.
